Cyclingnews has received confirmation that Italian cyclist Ivan Basso, who is set to face further investigations, including DNA testing, regarding his involvement in Operación Puerto, has been suspended by the team pending the outcome of the recently re-opened investigation.
Stay tuned for further information
Hope Levi is ready for another shot in the big race in July. Wonder who will be the team leader in the Giro D'Italia now? I would love to see Popovych have a good ride.

I completely agree. The thing that is frustrating to me is how these things drag out, there is so much doubt cast on the results, the results leak out before confirmed, etc. There seems to be no real organization as to the testing protocols.
If a rider dopes, fine em and suspend them, and announce it to the public when the results are verified. If they don't, then we shouldn't hear shit about it in the press. Cycling as a sport is in a really dark period right now, and it makes me sad to see it struggling through this garbage.

All of the organizations are French...Fench Labs, Fench Newspapers, French Events. Why does USADA and other countires' doping controls not defend ours/their athletes? They leave them in the hands of the French? Take the case on Landis, USADA let the French Lab continue to sample without the observations from anyone from Floyd's camp. WTF?
