    Magettes, a little help please

So I took my wife to ride the White Rim trail last week. She had a blast and wants to get her own bike (she used a friends GF Sugar). She doesn't know much about mountain biking, and I don't know what to get her. She wants something that has a plush suspension, but will climb pretty well (hopefully sub 30 pounds). We looked at a Rockey Mountain Elemement, but she said she wanted something that has more travel. What bikes should I look at? It is tough because I ask her what she wants and she just says "You know more about biking than I do, just find me something I will like."
    Thanks Shane

find a LBS that she likes and let the staff do there job. That way if it is wrong it is not your fault. plus the staff is (or should be) up to date on all the newest stuff

cannondale rush or prophets? (bit more money, but plush and light)
    jamis XLT. (value)
    rocky ETXS or elemet
    etc, etc, etc.

Get her a Santa Cruz Nomad--it climbs, it descends, and it has a lot of travel. Or if that's a bit much, a Blur would get you some extra credit points.

    You have PM.

I need to sell my wife's Trek Remedy 5, and I would rather sell it to a maggot that will use it than on craigs list/ebay

My wife just purchased a Trek Fuel EX7 WSD and seems to be very happy. They are on closeout right now, so they can be had for a reasonable price at a trek dealer.....

We just got my wife the Women's Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 5 inches in travel front and rear...she really likes the bike and it is pink and black. In addition, it is $2,000 much more reasonable than a lot of other bikes out there.

Get Shmoesmith's Remedy 5. The wife will like. And you'll be doing a fellow mag a favor. +10 karma points added to your score.

Second the Remedy 5. Good opportunity, keep the bike in the mag family, and she'll love it.

Just my $0.02. Otherwise, the Specialized FSR was a good bike to me for an into full suspension, fit well, so maybe look at one of those. For $1500 you can get a Kona women-specific FS bike, or if she doesn't need a women-specific fit, a Dawg (5" of travel) for $1300.

    For more $ a Titus moto-lite.....($2400-ish).

They came over and tried the Remedy last night. Both loved the ride, but the frame may be a little too small. As we all know, fit is one of the absolute most important things on a bike. We both agreed they should try out some other bikes to check out their geometry as well.
