I narrowed down my options by doing alot of research here...

The silent partner machine was also in the running but it seems like Klipper beats them for all around customer service for a stringing jong like me.

If the link to the French Open is not working, try going to

www.thetennischannel.com and give it a go there. They are also streaming.

Oh and I am an east coast guy. Just north of Philly. No where near Portland

MRW - if it's not too late, I would strongly recommend against getting a tabletop stringing machine, especially one with a drop weight. They are inaccurate as hell and take way longer. I used to string for my local club and I even had a drop weight tabletop stringer for when I taught summer tennis camps. That tabletop model was the suck.

I don't know how much you have to spend, but there are some inexpensive upright models that will blow the Klippermate away. Get one with a crank/breakaway release.

I've had ektalon and Prince machines. the Prince machine works very well and is fast. I strung commercially and would be glad to help you if you need tips.

Yeah, he does. Federer didn't exactly bring his A game however.

We can bump this thread in one year when Nadal and Federer face off in the finals again, with the same result.

Wow, nice purchase. Do you have a close court to tote it to, or do you have your own? Ball machines are sweet but the transport is a bitch.

Quite a few courts near to my home both here and at the beach. I checked and it looks like an OK roll from my car to the courts. The alternative is a luggage roller to assist. I'll see how it goes. None of the battery powered ball machines are noted for their agility.

Oh, by the way, I found a killer deal on pressureless balls at Dick's Sporting Goods. $29. for a bucket of 48 Slazenger's. I bought 5 buckets.

    ball machine update...

This thing is f'n amazing. I have been drilling forehands, backhands and overheads non stop. I opted not to get the programmable oscillator but it has 2 speed random sweep that will run your ass off.

It can be adjusted for Nadal top spin or even back spin.

For shits and giggles it will launch a tennis ball REALLY high.

Sweet. After a few months with that thing, you will be playing a friend and it will appear as if his/her shot came right out of a ball machine, ready to be tee'd up, just like the hundreds you hit before it.

I had an uncanny ability in college to hit a lob sky-high during matches. As high as it went, it didn't really matter how close to the baseline it landed because it was too high to hit with confidence out of the air, or even on the bounce.

In April, a woman in Braintree, England, took her 2-1/2-year-old son to local firefighters (according to a Reuters dispatch) to ask if they would remove the toilet seat that had become tightly stuck to his head. (No explanation was reported.)

I remember as a child, that my parents would order HBO for my birthday so that I could watch as much Wimbledon as I wanted.

    You get set up bossass?

And Buster, thanks for the news, but did they get the toilet seat off?

Henman... pretty serious battle this morning. Fed vs Safin might be a little more interesting than Fed's previous two matches. Can Safin hold it together mentally for more than 5 games?

Yes, but I can't see anything with this toilet seat in the way.

I left for work with Henman down a break in the fifth. I am assuming he choked, per usual, but will verify that right now.

Good 3rd set between Safin and Federer, but the mighty Fed is just too good. Remember the days when the guns Safin and Hewitt smoked Sampras (and amassed winning records against them)? Now, they're just getting owned by the best one in their own generation ...

I am not a Wilson guy so, what are the stats and why is the Asian version different?

It's the same racket, but 320g and 9 pts. headlight vs. 340g and 12 pts headlight. The stock US version is a tank, and is not manueverable unless you have the forearm's to handle it (I don't). So, the Asian version is enough lighter to make it much more easy to move around, but you still get the same level of control. I've actually never used the US version, but I get shit tons of spin off the AK90.

    Edit: More info here: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...highlight=ak90

With all the additional muscles I got this spring, I find even the relatively heavy nCode 6-1 95 with 333g very easy to handle ...

All set up with cable. Got the DVR, so plenty of tennis has been watched. I hope Roddick can hold out. I can't believe Haas pulled out, not that I wanted to watch Federer dispose of him quickly, it's just anybody buy Roger could've used that break. I'd like to see Nadal beat Roger. Roddick winning the final would be even better. Someone else needs a turn.
