Best purchase of the season?
I'm not talking your best deal, I'm talking what did you buy this year that you are the most satisfied with. Maybe it was good value, maybe it made you a better skier - whatever...
Me - 997s from sfotex. They make me happy.
I bought BROS too, but they ain't here quite yet - I can feel a ripple in the force though.

Sanouks. My first skis on the right side of 100, absolutely loving them in the soft stuff. So much I just bought a second pair (although I don't know what exactly to do with them, they were cheap

Blizzards. Both the Titan Nines and some Mag SL's both are awesome skis and I was hugely surprised with the performance.

Dynafits. Finally. Wow and FKNA!
Icelantic Shaman - anything that lets you go out days after a storm and hit endless fresh lines in the EC woods is worth its weight in gold. Took me a while to sack up and go stupid short (coming from a JH bigger is better mentality) but the trees are so damn tight out here. Maybe a spatula or Praxis would give the same manuverability - I guess I'll find out next year (Praxis = best pre-order of the year)"Fakers are Maggots" - T. Hall, 2011

A 1st class maggot helped me out. It was a one-off. I'll say this much - they weren't from North America.

I hardly bought anything material this winter (except for Cloudveil ski pants-top notch). The money spent on trips were my best purchases. Tops would have to be Straightline Camp, with an honorary mention to the Solitude lift ticket for Solisunday.

I'll have to agree with you - trips made were by far my best purchases. Skiing in Michigan can get quite boring after a while (what, you don't like groomers???) and the need for some actual mountains gets to you after a while... I guess I could count surgery as a purchase, too. It costs dollars, right? My new knee will make next season that much more enjoyable!

Seths.....they float great in the soft, but are also a ski I could realistically ski everyday if I wanted/needed to.

Best and best deal is definitely the 186 Fischer Big Stix 84s I picked up from Kidwoo for a bottle of bourbon. Hated them at first, and at second, but man, was the third time the charm.
Most anticipated is the Praxis pre-order.41 days 2012-13
