    Price this bike!

Hey guys, I would appreciate your help in pricing out this bike. I'm looking to buy it so I want to be sure everything is factored in. Its $2,500

Does this seem like a good price for this bike?

Its an 06 Santa Cruz Blur LT. Size Large.

    additional info and pics:

It is a 2006. Fox suspension in the front and rear. Fork(Float RLC) Shock(RP3) Sram XO drive train (shifters and Dearailluer) Avid Juicy Seven Disc Brakes, Truvativ Stylo GXP cranks. Onyx Hubs with 321 mavic rims. No scratches and it great condition.

Also, here is a link to the bike as on the Santa Cruz Bikes site:

    Thanks Again!

New, I think that runs about $3200

Seems a little steep - I know of a '06 Yeti AS-R with the top of the line build kit (XTR) that just sold for $2700. New I think it went for close to $5000.

Agreed. There is a pricing rubric somewhere around this board for skis, but not sure what the applicable rubric would be for bikes.

How many miles? If it's high mileage and it's time to replace stuff like chain/rings/etc. than you could be looking at an additional cost of a few hundy.

    I'd offer 2 G's.

That sounds fair to me. It's about what I'd be willing to pay for it if I were looking for a Blur LT. I wouldn't even be surprised to hear people seriously offer $1700.

    Does sound high.

Those hubs are kind of junky too. That's the only hub I've ever broken a flange off of.

I'd say 2G's is still a bit on the steep side though not completely unrealistic
There is no retail on bikes

If you are seriously interested, make an appointment to see the bike, but don't discuss the price. Show up with $2000 in cash. Give it a test ride and if you like it, offer the guy the cash on the spot.

    Let it ride

People will pay for that bike. SC bikes are in demand and will fetch a high price.....against logic, many times.
