How are we going to work out the pymt. details. We know the price. We know the deadline. We know the approx. deliv. date. What's missing?

They fit a niche for me. Really, they're a S916/Trekker replacement that saves me weight, which is pretty important as a traveling skier. If I lived in the mountains I'd probably have a quiver with S916s and Dynafits, but I have to fly with one ski only so this fits the bill. I never considered Naxos or Freerides because I will often ski hardpack on a trip. I'm happy that anecdotally they are being well received but I'll be even happier if they have a more elastic toe than the old Markers. So for me, they're filling a position better than any alternative.

    Thanks ptex!

Edit 4 - Now I just need to find a Dynafit compatible alpine boot with Vibram.

This may be a stupid question, but these will work with AT boots, right? Need to get Ptex a PM.

Yep, with alpines and "regular" AT boots (those using old Dynafit TLT somethings need not apply).

I also got the price pm but nothing on when you need the money and when I'll see the binders...i guess that can be a post without revealing the price.

Edit: Shit I just saw the post on the preceding page. Next Friday, yikes! Delivery sounds good though.

    WOAH!!!

That means the deadline is TOMORROW - THE FRIDAY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY!!

Nothing I had from ptex indicated that quick deadline. I am in and trying to pay, but I wonder how many others are missing the deadline unintentionally.

For those running up against it... PM ptex for his number, and pay w/ credit card over the phone.

It was clear to me...I'm not sure if it was in my PM, but I've been following this thread...he posted the deadline pretty shortly after he started firing out the PMs.

That being said...I probably won't be able to participate this go-round. ptex is the mang. Hopefully he'll be the duke mang in the future, too.

Granted...he may not care, but maybe you want to check with ptex before posting his name, biz, and phone number for the whole world. Not sure he wants to be taking calls from just anyone...this is supposed to be a maggot hookup...and as far as I know, he was only giving out his info for this deal via PM...I don't believe he posted his name/biz/number anywhere in this thread. (correct me if I'm wrong...and if you already checked with him on this, ignore me).

    Deleted.

But he has posted that number before on other threads he started about selling stuff. Was only looking to help those that were interested in late orders.

    thanks.
sorry to harsh out; i'm sure your intentions were good, but i'd hate to see this deal fall through for the many who were on top of this (like, me for starters) -- or for ptex to get grief from marker or other shops -- for the sake of a small few possibly behind the eight ball, when a "PM Ptex for details" would have sufficed.

    dammit, i'm always johnnycomelately!

BushwackerinPA just (within the past several days) hipped me to this thread since I just plunked down on some skis to designate as my intro to BC planks.

since i've missed the boat, if anybody happens to stumble upon the sweet or even semi-sweet deal on the Dukes, please let me know!

    gracias!

I believe that Sinecure can semi-vouch for me! (i.e. we've bumped into each other in the lift lines at AM, but we've yet to actually make turns together, if you can believe that!)
