What B-S said.
We have no idea what DIN you run or how you ski, anyway.
But at this point, what's the point?41 days 2012-13

^^what he said.
For constructive advice add your height, weight, ability, length ski they've gone onto and what type of skiing you like to do and then it doesn't matter anyway 'cause they're already on. But I suppose it'll give you confidence knowing it's all good...or the other one...Nine out of ten Jeremy's prefer a warm jacket to a warm day

As a beginning skier, a 10 DIN binding should be fine. I am a little taller and a little heavier than you, have been skiing more than 30 years, and ski a 9 or 10 DIN.

A lot of it comes down to how confident you feel in your skiing, and your choice of line. On a really technical, high consequence line you can't afford binding release. In an open bowl worst case scenario you have to hike to get your skis after they release. However if your bindings roll out jump turning in a tight chute above a 100ft cliff to rocks you could be in a lot of trouble. The downside to turning your DIN way up is that in a fall if your bindings do not release it could lead to injury. I'm 160lb 182cm and ski a DIN of 8 on most bindings. As far as I know you shouldn't set your bindings to their maximum DIN... i.e. a 12 DIN binding (which is what i ski on most) should probably stay below 10.5. I found an article that might help you out a little. It outlines the technical aspects of bindings in a pretty reader friendly way.

For your size and experience level, I think you should be fine on those bindings.

I wouldn't worry about the AFD- it's the same as the old Rossi/Look pivot toepiece. That's a favorite binding design around these parts. The heelpiece is what was redesigned two years ago.
