    Steel Pulse

Digging on the Reggae recently and Steel Pulse. What album (do we call it that anymore?) would someone recommend as a first purchase?

"Smash Hits" is an obvious starting point. It's their version of Bob Marley's "Legend".
Putting the "core" in corporate, one turn at a time.

    We took that commercial road
Searching for some fame and gold
And gained the whole wide world
    And almost lost our souls

Some say we should have lead the way
Take it over from Bob Marley
Got brainwashed by the system yeah
What a heavy price we paid

I see Woodsy's True Democracy recommendation, and I raise you one Handsworth Revolution.

I have "Reggae Greats: Steel Pulse" that's pretty good. I really want to get more of their live stuff.

I second True Democracy...do it H-Man. Also, Handsworth Revolution is very sick.

"True Democracy" for a Studio album, "Smash Hits" for all the biggies.

My favorite SP music moment is the opening 12 bars of "Steppin' Out." Always gets me pumped.... the part before "Open Sesame, here comes Rasta Man."
