    quotes

Can anyone think of any good quotes? My senior quote is due soon, and for some reason I want it to be a good one. I had the 'favorite quotes' thread on powmag.com bookmarked... but it's gone now. It was 5 pages of awesome quotes. If it isn't too much to ask, can we try to recreate it? Thanks.

Here ya go Sammy, one of my favorites:

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."

Here's my favorite, from my favorite book, written by my favorite author:

"The secret of the mountains is that the mountains simply exist, as I do myself: The mountains exist simply, which I do not. The mountains have no "meaning," they are meaning; the mountains are."

"I was thinking about hitting Zermatt depending on snow conditions and some other places...I was also considering skiing Mt. Blanc....can anyone help me with info or first had experience on this. How early can you ski it and how tough/what type of conditions should I expect. I am a upper level skier....skied most blacks at JH....not Corbets. I like skiing powder but lack a great deal of experience. I've skied all over out west and feel confortable on most blacks/doubles...just not really into cliffs over 5-6 ft. Is skiing Mt Blanc over my head??"

Man, if you can ski The Big Show, you should have no problem with a hillock like Mont Blanc.

NO NO NO If your going to quote at least get it right

Haha.. you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic
blunders. The most famous is: Never get involved in a land war in
Asia. Only slightly less well know is this: Never go in against a
Sicilian when death is on the line!

and Sam PLEASE DON'T use "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past" [rant]Every Fucking senior uses that quote and has absolutely NO idea what its about becaue they omit the first part of it which loses the whole meaning of the quote It should read > "Gatsby belived in the green light the belief that tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther....And one fine morning----- So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past"[/rant]
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was
