SQUAW DISCOUNT TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to resort to the bold type, but I just got off the phone with Squaw Valley and have arranged $48 lift tickets for the group for the three days we're scheduled to ski there, including tomorrow.
THE CATCH - The tickets have to be purchased in one shot, minimum of 25.
Meeting Place - In front of, or on steps across from tram building between 8:30 and 9:00 am.
Scream Nickel! or pay big.

If you can make perfect turns on groomers, think powder is an abomination, and would rather talk about the mechanics of skiing that actually experience them (in other words, if you're a card carrying PSIA member), you can actually get a ticket for $46. That is my plan, however, if you're short a person, I will gladly join the group.

Actually, I just set up an interview for a job at the base of the San Bernardinos. If I get it, I'll surely be skiing Bear quite often. I might have to take back some of my words...
Props to Splat - proving once more that you areThe Man!

splat, you are a superlative example of the spirit of co-operation (not the spirit of competition as a certain sledder would have us believe is the best motivation for a society) making life better for maggots. i need tickets for sunday through thursday, so please add me to the group purchase for those days.Originally posted by splat

So do you need a count on who's in and what day? And do you need the money ahead of time--or just when we meet?

I'm just hoping we hit the minimum - and no, I don't want to handle money until it's time to walk in and buy.
An advance indication of numbers would be sweet.

splat -- correct me if I'm wrong, but the $48/ticket is only good if we get 25 people for all 3 days...and needs to be paid up front....so we'll need $144 from each person correct?

Are you going to need the $48 in cash?

I think it'd be more convenient and expedient to process one cash transaction rather than 20-30 individual credit card transactions.
