Are these bindings getting thrown on brand new skis, or older stuff? TJ's definitely deserve to be paired with some pontoons

Cool to know you guys consider the littering issues, I would've never guessed those were just sticks getting tossed aside. Can't wait to see the footage next year

They're not mine, and I doubt they're getting thrown in.

My dad found another couple pair in the attic, one of which was the pair of 260s off my treasured 190 K2 610 FOs -- my first real pair of skis. He's going to package them up tonight.

I'll settle for Shane just screaming "AIRBORNE" when going off of that cliff.

Another Alpine Meadows Team parent tells me there may be a bunch at the Easter Seals Thrift Store in Reno, in front of Costco on Plumb.

So, why not just use big feet? No littering. no loss...

Two pairs en route via Priority Mail to you at Squaw, for arrival either Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully, my dad didn't fuck them up too much getting them off the skis.

And it looks like I'll have at least another two pair in Tahoe by Sunday.

On another note, concerning ski littering:
In the past we have been using sticks instead of poles when we knew we might not not be able to retreive them. The ski movie viewer never notices the difference on those barbie shots. We plan on doing our best to retreive the skis we pull off after the shoot is finished. Many times the skis and bindings are still in decent shape. A friend of mine once had to release the skis on a skydive in the summer. The skis fell several thousand feet into the dirt. They were perfectly fine. As you know the Tyrolias we use are in short supply so we have even more incentive to retreive them than the issue of littering.
    Oh and by the way,
Shamless sponsor plug born from guilt over this thread:
The new Marker Duke is the only binding I'll ever ski from now on for alpine or touring. Rock solid torsion, touring option, din to 16, no upward frontal release. The most solid binding I've ever stepped into.

This newcomer JONG needs to change his forum name.

But seriously, I'll take a look around here and ship it out if I find anything.

My plan is to cover the shipping costs by Ebaying several pair of "genuine sticks -very much like those McConkey and Holmes".

i had a couple of pairs, but they will not work, as I no longer have the plates that they mount to. I was not thinking about how valuable they were when i was pulling them off of skis....

Sorry everyone. Our service provider here in Squaw really blows sometimes. Couldn't get on line for a day there and have also been busy with the Ski Tour that's going on here. I would like to thank everyone very much for being so helpful. The bindings are starting to trickle in now and more seem to be on the way. I'll try and get to all those PMs soon.

    Postscript:

When I arrived home yesterday, I found what appeared to be a large brick, shipped via FedEx.

I opened it to find a case of Red Bull and this note, reproduced here for full ransom note effect:

Thanks, man. Good to know that I hold the future of the children of Botswana in my grubby little hands.
