It's really well done so far.

"When you're Irish people think all you do is get drunk and fight, and it makes you so mad all you want to do is get drunk and fight."

that might not be the exact quote but it's close.

C'mon folks. Hell's Kitchen hasn't been Irish in two decades.

While watching this show, I kept thinking to myself, "How long would these guys last against Tony Sopranos crew?" Not long.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

    Dude, it's a TV show, it's fiction.

Do you think the real-life Sopranos of this world could kill one Russian mobster and the Russians would just run away? Fat fucking chance.

Like The Soprano's, the Black Donnelly's is fiction, but it's pretty well done so far.

I'm hoping for less romance-y melodrama, but so far I'm sold. Haggis has quite the CV at this point, so I'm willing to stick this one out.

I definitely like the "birth of a gang" angle and will watch to see how the 'family' develops.

I prefer the show it displaced. And I'm a drunk, mad Irishman too.

I'm with you on that one. Studio 60 was pretty great. In the end, I guess it was a little too West Wingy for most. Is it definitely displaced? I didn't think that was final.

Watched last night because a good friend is on a 6 episode arc, playing Kate, the widow. Have to say, I wouldn't have watched if Molly wasn't on, but now I will - it's pretty good. Surprising to find a fresh world on TV, haven't seen these characters on TV before.

I really, really like this show. It's quite refreshing with what is on tv nowadays, though I did like Studio 60 (loved West Wing too).

Not to worry- word is that BD is not doing as well as they had hoped. Studio 60 might be back.
