Powdermaggots.com
Powdermaggots.com For the time being we'll utilize it as a redirect. I'm open to other ideas.

Its a great idea. I think you should keep it pointing to wherever we end up. What an easy address for maggots to give prospective maggots to check us out.
It's a much easier address than trying to explain powdermag.com-->message board-->chatter-->etc.
or even tetongravity.com-->ski/snowboard-->forum-->ski/snowboard again-->etc
Now I'll just tell friends to check out powdermaggots.com!

I don't mean to be a complete ass. But can you handle a nice site like some other people were talking about, PHP and such? You site is just HTML and basic java right? That may not be enough.
(Really really really trying not to be an ass.)No.

There's nothing for me to handle, DINMS.
I bought the name in August to have a place for the lost Powdermag pages of topics.
But because of what's happened, I've decided to now utilize my main index page as a redirect that will point to wherever we end up as a group. It's an easy address for everyone to remember.
That's my only role in this whole thing. For that, I don't need PHP, any weird java shiz, or anything else.

If all you want to do is a redirect for now, you can even bypass the main page and just send everybody here.

Dr. C-
I'd like to. This is what I'm using right now for powdermaggots.com: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/index.php?s=
Is there a more direct address to this section of the forum? TGR's use of frames keeps sending visitors back to the main page when I try to use other addresses.

Hey Endless. I think it is great what you are doing. I'm changing the powdermag.com link on my maggots page to you. We have the ski industry sales clinics coming up. Do you want me to see if maybe some might float some money your way for advertising. I mean we are alot of people it could reach. Just a thought. Let me know what you think.

For a simple redirect and email, it costs me $9 a year for my domain name. I'll send a buck or two to Endless to spare us the banner ads on powdermaggots.com if that's needed, or I'll keep bookmarking the TGR site.
Now email... I want my vanity drcrash@powdermaggots.com

Doc. Endless is going to build something a bit more complicated than just a redirect and email. He will need funding. Schit I'm damn near broke after putting mine together. People are talking about having us each pay maybe a $5 user fee for the site (if it goes that way) to help with the costs of it. But skibums don't always have that extra $5. That 5 bucks might be their food money for mac and cheese for the week. It would be a way to maybe save that hassle. A small banner ad that isn't a popup would be an avenue to explore. That is all.Originally posted by Dr. Crash

I've never had ads ON my pages and I'm not going to start now. But I'm always open to new ideas. The only thing I've ever included in my sites is a separate window that randomly opens for a ski gear company. Most of you have seen it when you look through the Europe pages. Heck, I just appreciate it when one of you occasionally orders your stuff through that gateway page.
