WTB Used Subaru WRX
wagon prefered but the sedan is ok too, 20,000 -50,000 miles, any color but yellow, no accidents, no mods except tinted windows, short throw, and blow off...
If you or anyone you know is selling one let me know. I'm looking to buy one by the end of April. My budget is around $17,500 or at least that's how much I am willing to owe.

Check out www.NASIOC.com if you havent already
It is one of the biggest subaru forums in the world.....45 thousand or more members
Not only can you find a used WRX, but you can find just about any part or information that you would ever desire.
PS: aftermarket BOV is bad for the stock WRX'y, and will cause your engine to run rich..... it comes with a stock one but it isnt ghetto loud..
Good Luck

why get a bov, when you can get whistle tips? come on.

02-27-2004, 04:27 PM #4Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's only if you get an actual blow-off valve that vents to atmosphere as opposed to a compressor by-pass valve that re-routes into the intake like the stocker? If thats the case, if you want the noise without the problems look into a greddy or something similar that alows you to route the air back into the intake.Originally posted by Gfunk720

I'm assuming the problem of running rich with a bov is the same with my car. When it blows off into the air you're losing air that the mas sensor has already counted and that the computer thinks will still be going through the motor and thus has added fuel for, causing the extra rich situation.

There are 3 types of BOV, Atmospheric, Reciculatory, and hybrid. Stock BOV is 100% Recirculatory, but aftermark Recircs can vent/ release excess pressure that makes your turbo spool quickly. Stock WRX only runs about 15 psi Max, aftermarket are not recomended unless running over 20 psi. MAF is the reason not to go atmospheric(Ghetto Sound), but recirculatorys can cause the dreaded "wastegate flutter"
guess this isnt really the place for tech talk.......sorry

www.i-club.com is another good website for WRX stuff. As is www.clubwrx.net . Between those and what 778skier said, you should be set.
FYI, Used WRX's are probably not the best cars to get if your looking for something long-term, they get raged on alot because they are so much fun to drive.
I know mine won't be lasting to 100,000

Hey funken, Check the 3/1/04 Daily Camera ads, there is a silver 02 wrx wagon with 31k on it listed for 18.5k. Good luck with the search.
