Bump ^^ for all you lens nerds out there. I don't think this is limited to Bozeman loc's. There is some good footy that gets posted in here, make it official and send it in.

Ski season has been steadily marching along for several months, and hopefully everybody has been fortunate enough to get out and enjoy the goods. In Bozeman, Montana, the details concerning the first annual Cold Smoke Awards have been finalized. The festival is in conjunction with the Bridger Freeride Team, and provides a venue for amateur filmmakers to showcase their talent and creativity in a public forum.

Submissions should be directed to Anjin Herndon, and received before March 19, 2004. A $10 fee will be assessed to all entrants, and checks should be payable to Big Sky Youth Empowerment. Anjin can be reached at:

    Cold Smoke Awards
    c/o Anjin Herndon
    401 North Black Ave.
    Bozeman, MT 59715
    U.S.A.

Festivities will take place on the evening of Friday April 2, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Emerson Cultural Center. This is the Friday before Bridger Bowl closes, so put your liver on notice. The films will be screened before a packed house, and awards will be distributed based upon the following categories: Best air, crash, line, mission and powder sequence. A panel of five local celebrities will have the dubious distinction of judging the entries. All questions regarding submission format/length etc. should be directed to Jeremy Mistretta. Mr. Mistretta can be reached at (406) 570-6199 or via email, coldsmokeawards@hotmail.com

So, keep your camera rolling and the creative editing flowing. I look forward to watching the films and seeing everybody there.
