If Penn still made fly gear, MAYBE....

I vote yes.
Hook and I can share some fly fishing stories from where an 8wt is a small rod, $400 reels are worth every penny, and a 50 ft cast is not gonna cut it.
Plus, it will get me to take more fishing pictures.

Heh, unfortunately that is a desktop download pic from Fly Fisherman magazine, but I fully intend to hook in to a few of those very soon.

In a quandry here. We just got 3 damn feet of snow here in Juneau over the past few days and the skiing is friggin redonkulous (202" base at the hill, who knows what in the BC) but I keep an eye on this thread to see if the forum will ever happen. YOu guys are talking fishing season is here!!!! I am ready, I guess I will just have to wait for the hogs to show up here. We still have two months till the steelies show and the lakes thaw. Catch a couple for me, I would really like some cutthroat for dinner tonite, f***ing frozen ALASKA.

Supposed to be rain tomorrow and 50 degrees here on Sunday. I am trying to decide between spring skiing or wetting my line for the first time this season.
