    Suspension JONG here,

wouldn't a SP hold more to the KISS principal than ICT?

Just curious as I'm looking into full squish bikes but have been riding this

everywhere for the past couple of years. ooooh the mad trackstand steaze.

Oh and the bike is nice looking, makes me want to hurt myself in that good kind of way.

2 oversized bearings on a 20mm pivot w/ a lifetime warranty = definitely. While the Bullit has some limitations, simplicity and reliability are not among them (well, unless you consider simplicity a limitation, but you get my point).
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Sure.....especially with that big new pivot. Not all single pivots ride the same though and the bullits of old had so much flex in their swingarm they'd sideload the shocks quite a bit. A friend of mine had one of these as a prototype up here last year and it's definitely better built than the old ones.

    They made some good changes.

A single pivot done correctly is pretty hard to beat in all aspects.
Ive always been a big fan of them, but having said that, my ICT linkage bike (ellsworth moment) rides like a freaking dream. Id really think it would be hard to find a significantly better riding all mountain 6" bike out there. Its rear end is incredibly stiff and tracks great too.

Ding ding ding. Also, having owned a Sugar 2 and ridden a Cake, I'm less than impressed with GF bikes. I'd take an SC over a GF any day.

Glad they didn't go too nutty with the hydroformed tubing. They pretty much hit everything I was hoping for. Only one shock position, though?

Parking lot variety at the top of jackass. The pivot point is the same so I was already convinced it rode the same. I put my foot on the crank and rammed into the side of it......it's definitely stiffer than the old ones.

You know Matt (OGripper)? Two of his buddies work for SC and that was one of the toys they had.

    Ooooh. Dayum.
I can't wait for all the "What kind of fork on my Bullit" posts to appear across the interweb again.
Pretty much looks like a kickass slopestyle/park bike.
    Me likey single pivots.

Oh my. I like. Kinda surprised they haven't hopped on the swing-link bandwagon though.

    I'd buy that bike.
Only, those hoops scare me immensly.
I have seen DT DH rims fold during a 5 mph crash into a SMALL sapling...closest thing I have ever seen to "I was just riding along when....."
    scary...

The new ones are supposed to be better.

I squared off a buddy's pair in one run on his bike........the old ones.

i was under the impression that the 6.1 DH rims sucked balls, but the 5.1's were actually decent

You might be right if the red ones are the 6.1s.

Still.......there's no reason NOT to ride mavics.

DH (turner dhr): mavic 729s with straight gauge 2.0 spokes
    Freeride(intense uzzi): deemax
    XC(intense 6.6): crossmax XL
    DJ(evil DOC): 36h 721s with straight gauge 2.0

nice. super stoked on my new 729's. they really feel just as strong as the doublewide wheelset, but 2/3lb lighter for the wheelset.

They're stronger than double wides if you build them right.

    seriously

I mentioned the straight gauge spokes for a reason. I know the theory behind butted spokes, but for dh wheels, it doesn't work. A rock hard wheel with no flex either fails catastrophically or doesn't move for years. In 6 years of riding 721s and 729s (older names obviously), I've broken 2 wheels wheels built from those rims. I'm definitely a brand whore in that respect but it's because everything else I've used gets destroyed too fast.

    Build'em tight.

Sorry we are going OT but another vote for 721's. Got them this summer on kid's and other's recommendation and they are bomber. No complaints at all. I usually have a few flat spots after riding for a few months, but the 721s are still true and happy. Stokered.

Bullit is nice. On a related topic, I wonder what '08 will have in store for the trusty AS-X...
