    allofmp3.com

I have not checked lately on allofmp3.com but got rerouted awhile back to their new site mp3sparks.com - works great.

CDs - I'd much rather have the actual thing with liner notes and everything than pay the same amount of money to iTunes for "convenience," copy protection, and shitty encoding.

More often than not I'll download a track or two or even a whole album (for free) and if I like it, end up buying the CD anyways, but I'm weird like that.

Agreed. I wish they would make some way of getting it in your car or something.

And if you feel bad downloading music and want to pay the artist back, checkout this: http://www.dearrockers.org/

Heh. Me too. I do go and pay for bands that I like - say I download a couple songs or album to see if I like them, then try to support the band and buy any other albums they may have.

I really like the new Amazon download site far more than iTunes....

I can't even remember the last time I bought a CD.
If I like something, I'll buy it on vinyl.
If I want to listen to it in the car, I'll make a mix.

I have a paid subscription to Rhapsody, and use a program to record streaming music off of Rhapsody. The program i bought knows the name of the track and names and saves them to mp3. Its pretty sweet.

I hate all that encoded shit, if I buy a song, I want to play it where I want to play it how I fucking want to play it. I can not stand iTunes for that reason.. Most of my music is ripped from CD to MP3... I just put it on the highest setting.

Most of the music I have bought in the last few years has been o CD direct from the artist--most often at a house concert. And they mostly don't get played.

Usually I'll buy vinyl but recently i've just been listening to mixes off of either Soundcloud or Mixcloud.

I have about 80 GB of mixes. I used to be one tracetraffic(anyone?). Now I just download if I really like a mix on Soundcloud. Oldest mix I still listen to and really enjoy is Sasha and Digweed: Northern exposure.
