    PAC NW AT SKI??

I need a reccomendation. I currently have freerides on a 188 inspired. My feeling is that the inspired is too soft. I'd like some feedback on size and ski. Generally I prefer a 188 or 190cm ski but perhaps a stiff 184-185 would be good for pac nw conditions/terrain? I like the dampness of wood core skis and the durability but would most of them be too heavy? Most touring will be out of resorts anyway. FYI I think Tanker's have a perfect flex for me. I like damp but not a super stiff tail.

I've had TEN Ex in the past - they were ok but I didn't like the way the ski flexed. Of course 188 stiff bro is perfect but completely out of my budget.

thinking used ski 150-250. cheap I know.

    thoughts are 185 squad, 183 axiom, 190 explosive, Sugar Daddy? 183 gotama,etc..

    I'm huge at about 5 9 160lbs.

see if Mntlion has any 183 helidaddies left. Those would work great.
I toured on some 183 gots last year and liked them a lot, but I would consider the 190cm length. The 183 skis really short.

I have 188 Volkl G4s for sale in gear swap, drilled 1X for Fritschi, so you can bolt your Freerides right in there...

prolly a little lighter and softer than you are looking for but last I looked you could get hostage plate model atomic stomps on ebay in your price range. Check the big daddy hostage plate thread for mounting info. I have some and they are ok at everything I think, without being great at anything, which is fine for an AT ski
