Thread: Laptop question

I'm sitting on the beach in Rincon de Guyabitos, Mexico and I've got a problem. At home I've got an additional monitor attached to my laptop but here all I've got is the laptop. So how the fuck do I get all the shit that I normally view on the remote monitor to show on the laptop screen? I was able to grab the corner of one program and drag it in but other than that I can't see anything else to grab. I mostly want my winamp sos I can listen to some tunes while I'm sitting here.

This is a long shot...
1. Switch the lptp video output to the LCD... it's a combination of Fn+F7/F8 depending on the lptp model
2. Assuming you are using Windowz uncheck the "extend my Windows desktop" from the Desktop properties -> preferences.
3. Get an ipod. Listening to tunes off the laptop is sooo 20th century...

Rt click on your work space. Go to properties. Go to settings. Under display you should be able to choose single or multiple monitor setting.

You're at the beach. Don't bring your laptop. Period. End of problem.

If I had a jawb I could blow off and forget for 2 1/2 weeks I'd have left the laptop at home. But I've got architects asking for shit by deadlines and electrician/architects asking questions on projects that are under construction with timelines to meet. This way I get to get away from my family and out of the sun for a few minutes to "work" (and peruse the padded room, damn, I forgot how hot Aria is. I saw a young nubian babe at the beach today with nice big titties, a cute face and a smokin bod. My wife called me a pedifile.)

An Ipod would be nice but they don't pick up shoutcast & other stations for shit.
