AT or Alpine Bindings
Yes, I know a similar question has been asked millions of times, and the search function could tell me something, but I have maybe a different twist on the classic question:
I have a possible line to get some freerides for about the same price I would spend on new alpine bindings for my recently purchased sugar daddies. I have been telemarking for years, and go with that for backcountry. I originally got the sugar daddies for inbounds alpine use. But between the fact that they look like great backcountry skis and the fact that it appears the price issue will be a wash, I am considering going AT. Considering that these will probably be primarily an inbounds ski for me (tele boots will be much more comfortable for touring than my old alpine boots), does the loss of functionality inbounds exceed the added joy of a few days a year in the backcountry on these skis?

God forbid. I am soooo sorry to have bored you, cjoo1f. Shit, it must suck when a post is somewhat similar to a past post, and then the post turns on your computer, grabs you by the ears and forces you to read it. Man, that sucks.
Can I get a filter that blocks out posts by people complaining that someone else's post is repetitive?

Wel, I generally ski with one pole between my legs, acting like its a horse and pretending to smack it's ass as I go. Sometimes I wear chaps and a cowboy hat while I ski for effect. So, I guess the answer is no, I don't care. That's why I posted this question, because I do NOT want anyone's opinion.

I will say that I see it a lot and I will add that as long as you arent going to be in the park riding rails and hitting big air, you are probably going to be happy. I ski with tons of people riding at on and off piste and there is no problem. I am waiting on the Duke 2's to come out to throw them on some bro models and that will be my new AT ski. On piste, 1080 solies with s912ti's. I think keeping two in the quiver should suffice, but my dad reminded me that i have not mastered ballet skiing and i totally need to as it is like ancient greek, a dead sport.

Good work on helping this guy out with his question from 2 years ago. I'm sure it will be very helpful.

BE careful!! - My cousin tried to ski a double black diamond on dyanfits and they will exploded!!! - Now he is stuck on a wheelchair - the explosion took both his feet clean off, leaving only charred stumps.
It was all a whirlwind; freeze and flash.
Within a week we had grabbed our skis and hit the road.
(nothing... a little powder, a little blood.)

do a search on dukes. they're so far the best solution in my opinion. Still a compromise but if skiing performance is what you're after then they win.
