Charity people? Spancering an AT thru hike...

Giving hopeful consideration to a thru hike this spring

Raising money for a charity seems to be a win win...most expenses covered and raise some good funds

I've got a friend here that started an at risk youth mentor program (minds that matter for those in denver) and a friend with an autistic child who could use some help

Anyone have experience with this? Is it a tax nightmare? I'd imagine there are lots of receipts and contracts involved

    thanks in advance

I have no experience with hiking for charity, but I did thru-hike the AT in 2000. GA-->ME. Let me know if you have questions or need help with the hiking end of things. I'll even spancer a mail drop of food. After my AT hike I have always thought my next big adventure would be for charity, but alas, only small adventures since. Good luck.

wookies do better panhandling on Pearl street in Boulder. If they stay away from dreadlocked, junkie wannabe strippers. The Panic will be in N.O., better run.

And good luck with the thru-hike!
