I remember skiing the tight squeeze in 96-97. It was so filled in you could make turns down the chute, then it was like a 5-10 foot drop and you just had to make a turn around the rock he landed on. My buddy had just gotten a new pair of 210's and was having an off day. He caught a ski in the chute and ended up hanging upside down from the choke over the rock drop anchored in place by his 210. He finally managed to get himself out, but it was pretty funny watching him flail around trying to get unstuck.
Did the guy jump from the skiers left side of the choke? Sounds horrible, hope the healing goes well.

Well, it's been a few days since our last storm and nobody liked my idea for a new thread for this year, so I'll repost my pics from it here.
All pics are from a November(?) morning of skinning with the dog and lobstahmeatwad before we had to go to work and school.
We hit the inversion layer heading up. A very nice day for skinning.

Then we hit the North Bowl road and realized we had to break trail through the new snow. The Dukes performed admirably.

Then it was time to ski. Ghost (the dog) was jacked.

All photo credits go to lobstahmeatwad. All overly-stiff photo slutting is mine.

Then we had brunch and went in for first tracks on avy gully. It was blow in pretty deep.

I hope this quality repost appeases the snow gods and they bless us with their goodness.

Pretty gnarly up there today. Windiest conditions I have ever skied in, plus it was basically hailing at the same time. And it was packed? Craziness.
One the up side, my new tankers r00l!!

Flippers was not bad yesterday. One of the two runs worth skiing. The other is ptarmigan to upper sluice. Dont ski lower sluice, but when you are coming down stick to the right side walls in the upper part. "creamy"ish windbuff goodness.

The John has been skiing nicely, too. D - did things go well on Sunday. Conditions were actually pretty good. I meant to look for you but I had a HUDGE class of older kids trying to take chunks out of my tails on Alpine and PK.

Looked like it was snowing pretty good up there this morning.
After trying to use a giftcard at the wrong gas station and turning back because I forgot my pass, I finally made it to the hill...
... and realized that I forgot my boots too.
So here I sit at home, with no time for turns before work.

Riding up PK today, some girls two chairs up decided to heckle this dude for wearing a teal and white "snowsuit".
He stopped, gave them a thumbs up and so the guys one chair up decided to heckle him by saying "Hey man, don't let those chicks tell you who you are..."
... To which the blue and white skier responded "I'll show you who I am" and promptly hit a little lip on the top of the first cliff and sent the damn thing clear over the second. Throwing a styly grab for good measure and stomping it.
The lift absolutely erupted.
FKNA
In other news:
The pow up top was a little dense and I scrapped all the snow off the rocks in the entrance to the 4th finger, I figured it was a good dead to protect everyone elses ptex. You can pay me back laterLast edited by XtrPickels; 01-11-2008 at 04:40 PM.

01-11-2008, 06:00 PM #371I'd tear right into you, but after having done the same exact thing before, there's no room for me to talk shit on this!!!

Anybody know the story of what's wrong with Deer Park? It'd have been nice to have it running to help with the crowds...

I know that it is broken, but that is it.
Alpine was a mess, but I think PK was even worse.
Bridger was pretty damn good though, at least for the first hour or so. Walk ons with 3+inches of that heavy stuff.
By the way, I made the daily video, there is a 3 second clip of me skating under the bridger lift. Awesome!
