MS defender beta 2
...has pretty much what any MS user needs, right? For some reason my wife is loyal to Bill Gates, I dunno.

never even knew that existed. I use spybot... works good if you don't already have issues.

It has a few things going for it- free (right now at least, no telling what will happen after the beta), and does a scheduled scan of the system. Some of the other free packages (at least for home use)- Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-aware, do not do scheduled scans with the free versions. It is based on technology the MS purchased from a company called Giant.
