Moab this weekend, Virgin next
Who wants to go?
Prolly leave Friday eve for Moab. I believe bags, Mr AG and rotorhead are in. Anybody else?
Then down to Virgin for some real riding. I think I'm leaving Thursday night.
Kidwoo, your leg is fine now, make the trip. Utards, anybody out there want to chuck yourself off stuff? Don't be skeered.

Myself and a few others will be down in Moab this weekend - 20th & 21st. We are heading down on Friday. We will ride Porcupine on Saturday and maybe one other. Then we'll head home Saturday night or Sunday morning. A short trip is better than no trip.
I through an invite out to Otter as well; but, I haven't heard back from him yet.Last edited by powder4breakfast; 10-18-2006 at 11:44 AM.

Damn........I already made plans for the virgin weekend. I'm getting shown some trail up by shasta with something stupid like 5-6 grand of descending......with jumps and stunts.
I'd love to go but I'm already committed. Take solace that I'll show you this trail at some point. Tell wch to change his handlebar before he goes.
Looking foreward to the pics though.
edit: It's actually probably not the right time for me to be going to virgin anyway. My hamstring still isn't full boreLast edited by kidwoo; 10-18-2006 at 12:02 PM.

Headed to Moab this weekend as well. Probably doing the classics with some people who don't get out there much:
-Porc with LPS... and Hazard if it is snow free (doubting it) Saturday or Sunday
-Amasa/Rockstacker/Jacksons on Sunday or Saturday
-Slickrock to Chile Trail DH - rinse & repeat a few times on Monday before heading home...

Can't say that I've ever hear "Fruita" and "sickness" mentioned in the same sentence.
As much as I'd enjoy riding with you guys, Fruita just doesn't do it for me man.
As for rides in Moab, well, I'm going to see if I can't talk the fellas into actually doing more than one ride on Saturday. Definitely an LPS-Porcy, and maybe that little dh into town or go out and play on Bartlet.

ahh, to each their own. I'm not hating on moab arty. The sickness is just the fact that i get a weekend to go camping and riding. Have kids, it'll change your definition of "the sickness". I'll do my best to document the goodness. Enjoy moab kids.

If AG is "making" me go back this weekend, we start at Hazard or else (unless it is snowing/raining like last week, then I'm up for going to the movies or whatever....
). I would like to do the Chilie DH as well. We will have motos so why don't you guys ride Slickrock after a full Porc ride and we'll heckle you on all the climbs...

I'm in Boston stuck at Logan right now, won't be home until late. I still have to work a bit tommrow and then rebuild my bike (last week was brutal; wore out both sets of pads, broke the Gravity Dropper, need to pull the bottom bracket, headset and hubs due to ingestion of mud....). Early Friday is out for us but I hope to get down there before sunset at least. I sure hope it is dry (Hazard is MONEY when dry, Kokopelli is stupid when wet).

If you can get ahold of an 8.5 x 2.5 shock, stick that on there. It'll make it a much more pedal friendly ride.....as well as give you a nice low bb. A buddy of mine rode his like this. It still gives you 7+ of travel and will keep it from riding too steep with the shorter fork.

[QUOTE=bagtagley;949443]Does this mean I need to bring the Highline? Wonder how she'd feel w/ the Z1 up front?

Krispy is sellking a 66 Light with headset for $500, great cond. Problem solved (you know how it feels, now just go buy it). AG wants it but I don't know if she is leaning towards his Fox36 instead."People blame me because these water mains break, but I ask you, if the

fondig and Kabuki are out. Kabuki put a screwdriver through the webbing between his thumb and forefinger last week. Apparently that limits your ability to hold the handlebars...who knew? fondig can't come because his boss is more like a wife than a boss and won't let him leave. I can neither confirm nor deny the accuracy of that last claim, but I'll just assume it's accurate....oh, and Kabuki was his ride.
