Agreed... and a little too shallow and light for the sled, although we did get to give it a preseason workout.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell is going on in that picture, but it sure "looked" good maybe has something to do with height of the subject

Anyway, here are some more realistic pix. Needless to say, it was good that most everything we where skiing on was grass..........FKNA for skiing in Oct though

Thirded. It's great to just get out, hike/skin in the snow, breath in the fresh air, and take in a little slice of winter for the morning.

There should be a TR of some sorts coming soon regarding the progress of that project.

Think I'll go out and re-pioneer a route off Castle Peak sometime soon too. It hasn't seen any skiers in 2 days.

    Wink

you mean the couple of inches we got wasn't enough??!!! I thought 5 inches with no base woulda covered up the rocks and stumps really nicely.

    Guess it's good I haven't "skied" yet.

Hey, if it's not too late to change the "big" plan... do you guys think maybe they'll extend the Beaver Creek end of the BC - Loveland gondola to the new Montezuma lodge?

So does anyone want to ski the Basin tomorrow instead of OB? I know it's "not fun" or whatever, but I'll be there, and I'm curious if anyone else will.
