Yeah, I don't know what the hell is going on in that picture, but it sure "looked" good maybe has something to do with height of the subject
Anyway, here are some more realistic pix. Needless to say, it was good that most everything we where skiing on was grass..........FKNA for skiing in Oct though

you mean the couple of inches we got wasn't enough??!!! I thought 5 inches with no base woulda covered up the rocks and stumps really nicely.
Guess it's good I haven't "skied" yet.

Hey, if it's not too late to change the "big" plan... do you guys think maybe they'll extend the Beaver Creek end of the BC - Loveland gondola to the new Montezuma lodge?

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
SNOW WILL INCREASE IN THE MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING AND WILL BE HEAVY
AT TIMES THROUGH TONIGHT. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 20 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED IN THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS BY SATURDAY MORNING. THE MOUNTAIN
VALLEYS AND FOOTHILLS WILL HAVE LIGHTER SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...WITH
SOME RAIN SHOWERS IN THE LOWER FOOTHILLS TODAY. ON THE PLAINS...
SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP DURING THE DAY...WITH
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH OR TWO LIKELY TONIGHT.
A WINTER STORM MOVING FROM WESTERN WYOMING ACROSS NORTHERN COLORADO
WILL BRING COOL MOIST AIR TO THE AREA PRODUCING THE PRECIPITATION.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE IN THE MOUNTAINS ON SATURDAY BEFORE
DECREASING SATURDAY NIGHT. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 4 INCHES
ARE EXPECTED. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF SNOW ON THE PLAINS SATURDAY
AND SATURDAY EVENING WITH RAIN MIXED IN DURING THE AFTERNOON.
PRECIPITATION WILL END OVERNIGHT SATURDAY IN MOST AREAS WITH
ISOLATED SNOW SHOWERS LINGERING EARLY SUNDAY. UPPER RIDGING WILL
BRING DRY CONDITIONS TO THE FORECAST AREA NEXT WEEK ALONG WITH
WARMING TEMPERATURES.
