I jumped in to say that I love that SheRa posts this every year.

Then realized this is the original thread.

    Good reminder folks.

Bump as my brother's beacon was totally dead before we went out the other day. Caught it before it was too late thankfully.

Hey SheRa, I took your advice last week and tired to replace em...tossed the old ones and walked into GMD to buy new ones for me and Wifey. Turns out Im a Tard cuz no shops at Alta sell batteries. I was digging thru the garbage 5 mins later. The shop in GMD sell 6 different flavors of beacons but not batteries...who woulda thought? Go in there and raise some hell for me would ya.

Don't talk to me about the shop at the GMD. I had the the management inform me that I needed to pay like anyone else. I said of course I'll pay like anyone else. Then left my stuff for them to work on as agreed. I come back to pick up my stuff and was informed that they couldn't do my work because "real" customers came in and they got too busy for my work.

Tram building at the bird should have batteries, but I'm not sure. My sweet roomie game me my new ones.

I hear there is a really good boot fitter at the Alta Lodge just up the rope tow(s). Haven't chatted with them yet, but I plan to go over there and shmooze at some point.

Maybe in a few years it will be "be sure to check your air bag system".

Yeah, but the airbag systems will inflate fully enclosed survival cocoons.

You should dispose of your old batteries properly......keep them out of landfills/incinerators.

And it will inflate with an O2 leak system to sustain oxygen demands. Or, as an option, it will autoburn a big bong hit mixed with oxygen to keep you calm whilst your bros come to your rescue.

    Talking

Jeez, I've been out skiing in the bc twice already. Didn't even bring my gear. Solo, so what's the point of a beacon anyway.
