TR: Ankle Surgery.......and the real story as requested by Gordy

So i got out of surgery yesterday and here i am in bed with my leg elevated and a lot of painkillers.....last night was extremely painful but the pain seems to be getting better now so hopefully it is all up hill from here.

They put a plate in and only one pin so that is good news i guess. The surgery went well but they forgot to give me some extra painkillers or whatever after surgery so i guess i woke up too early in the recovery room, which got me off to a bad start, but a lot of morphine later, i was good to go home.

As for how i broke the ol' ankle......Gordy if you must pry it out of me here goes....

I actually broke it dancing to some 80s beats, late night at a roof deck party in NYC.....i was trying to complete a rather tough move with a couple of ladies, when i tripped over a flower pot and twisted it. I thought it was just a sprain, so i limped home and tried to sleep it off. But when i woke the next morning the pain was unbearable so i went off to the ER. Then to the specialist and then off to surgery, and here i am. But i got some ski flicks and playoff baseball to keep me company. Its a pretty lame story and i'm quite embarrased but thats the truth.....i think i will be taking it a little easier in the comming months that is for sure, and no dancing......

Thanks for the support guys, and as soon as i'm cleared to ski after the new year, i will be heading out to Utah first thing.......

Well, at least you weren't dancing with a couple of dudes.

i think you need to come up with a better story than that... something involving a cat stuck in a tree, helping at the orphanage, etc. hope you heal up quickly and are ready for the white room

Methinks, sentences with 'limp' and 'with the checks' should be avoided.
