Visually one of the rare times I like color better.
But depends what you're going to use it for.

Black and white for sure. The only colors that really stand out in the first pic are the red and yellow- and even those aren't that bright.

Yeah I saw that earlier in some thread, should be a good time. Just remember to schedule some brown liquor stops and all will be well.

edit after your rework: I played with it like that but felt it lost too much in the reflections. FYI: this is for a specific goal, a contest with the theme of "neon". I felt that while I personally like the B&W variations more, the color juxtaposed the unlit neon sign with the surrounding flyers nicely, giving the pic a fresh take on the theme.

Since the topic is "Neon" I think I might go back and ask them to actually turn the neon on, maybe see how that looks.

    Sounds crazy, I know.

I would say go with color. Three of the four corners have mostly white posters in them already making it look VERY white and all in all there aren't enough grays in the b&w, giving little contrast.

But of course this is just my opinion

in that case have them turn said neon on, shoot at night. neon will pop, flyers will be there, but just not the focus of the shot....which is how it looks now.

absolutely no question, colour. the yellows and blues are straight out of a high school photocopied concert flyer. BnW totally kills that effect.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just gonna ask them where they're goin' and hook up with 'em later.
