    Hotel employee's strike at Tremblant. It's getting ugly

    All of the employee's at the Fairmont Hotel here went on strike this week. Now I'm on neither side, but the strikers are getting out of hand. The cops have to be there full time now because peoples cars that were staying at the hotel got fucked up, and they are blocking off roads.

    Now it looks as if the other hotels at the mtn village workers will be joining the strike this week as a show of unity. It's going to get pretty darn ugly.

    Our numbers are down as it is. The last thing this resort needs is a bad taste in peoples mouths that are coming here and then they are faced with this. Completely bad experience. We don't need that.

    If this strike really expands it could shut down the mtn. I posted up about it on my chatroom to warn people. Man I hope nobody gets screwed. But the people staying at the Fairmont now are royally pissed off. And they have a right to be.

    Those are the big things. What floored me is they never even mentioned a ski pass, or the chance for a discounted one (Intrawest will not sell a discounted pass to business's employees here). They even have PA speakers blasting loud music facing the hotel at night. The main outside staircase going from the Hotel to the lifts got ruined and is unusable now for safety reasons. There is atleast 40 strikers there 24/7

    Why the hell does anyone need six pairs of shoes for one year? I could maybe see two, but god damn six?
