    Wow, I'm sure that didn't suck.

    Early REM always brings back memories of a good college friend who was really into them. Many late night beers were consumed listening to Murmur and Lifes Rich Pageant. Sadly, about 18 months back, he decided life sucked, and ate a bullet.

    I remember seeing REM back in 1981 in the cafeteria of the student center at Southern Illinois University. This was prior to them releasing an album. The audience was so enthusiastic that the band would even repeat songs if requested. They were very nice and related to everyone very well. It was great to see them in an intimate setting.
