Building a reoccuring theme of front flips to trees/crashes...
Photos by me... Front flip to stick to immediate face flip...
And straight into the tree...
And ending with the best, photos of me, by my friend Tom.... deep snow getting heavy and sloughy in the sun, and I was testing out a pair of park skis.
I drop in on a nice little shot in the Palisades (SugarBowl)
My tele transistions isn't happening if my uphill ski isn't coming with me
I start the slough cycle
I get Maytagged
I regain balance and do a funny little dance
And pretend it never happened.

Post wipe out pic:
Poles are purchased that morning.
My younger son gets taken out by an out of control, high speed skier at Squaw during his lesson.
He gets major air from the hit (conservation of momentum) and the people on the lift are 'oooo'ing.
I catch up to him: one pole is broken in half and the other is curved. He's dazed but OK.
"Are you OK?"
"Yes, I'm sorry about the poles. Is it OK if take a break?"
"Son, you rock! "

along with the thread opener shot, that's easily the best shot here. superb expression, impeccable photography , staggering poise.
scroll to "Buy DVD", very bottom of page http://bhandf.com/bhandf%202008/longform.htm I do not work for Bill, just dig his work.

Not a wipeout at all! That is the patented 720 @ss-slide!Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.
