I saw them about 9 years ago at the old DV8 in SLC. They put on a good show. I can't remember if it was Gene or Dean Ween that got taken out, but some clown was crowd surfing and they tossed him onto the stage and right into the microphone stand. It then flew forward and hit and clocked Gene or Dean Ween right in the head and they went down hard. However, they did get back up and keep rocking. The Mollusk was the album they were touring for.

Meh. Decent show but overrated. Not all hippy jambands that are touted by the North Carolinean Trust Funders at CU Boulder Panic Club are all they're cracked up to be. Like Michael McDonald, for instance. Ween is definitely worth the price of admission but I won't be driving to see them.

the Bend show is July 25th. SLC on the 27th.
I have seen these guys a couple times before, and it is indeed a great show! I put it on the calendar.

You're right. You won't see any veggie burritos, pachouli soaked dreadies or e-bombin' southern fried trusties at a Ween show. Never.
I've seen them plenty and I'll happily lump them in with the jammers. I call any band that shares it's audience with the Panic/Phish/SCI a hippy jamband. Give it a name."All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring."

I saw the Truckers a few weeks ago and they were jammin'!
As for Spearhead, you're right. Noodlemania.
What are these shows like in NYC? Do the noodlers where leather jackets and shit?"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring."
