FS: 2005 Banshee Scratch, size L

one of my close buddies is getting rid of his rig. He has meticilously put it togther, but now finds himself in need of funds and that he doesn't ride it enough.

here are his words on the bike and a few pics:
This is one tough bike I built up to handle a little bit of everything- Freeride, Downhill, Dirt Jumping, and Urban Assault. It can even pedal up to the top of the hill for another run. I haven’t given it enough of a workout, call me an XC wus if you want, so I’m going to pass it on to someone who will use it more. Bike in great shape, recently overhauled, and has only a few scratches, no dents, and all parts are in fine running order. Here’s the breakdown of parts:

    Frame:
2005 Banshee Scratch, size L (16”). Handmade in Canada from 4130 chromoly steel - Steel is real, baby. The curved seatstays take the edge off big hits, and the beefy gussets on the top and down tubes, PonyKeg head tube, and horizontal dropouts round out a well-made frame.

The frame can be built up as a big BMX bike if you want, with 10mm & 14mm dropouts and a BMX BB shell (currently with reducer for mtn. bike BB). You can also run rim brakes with the bolt-on adapters (included).

    Wheels:
24” rear wheel handbuilt by The Fix in Boulder - Sun-Ringle Abbah hub (10mm bolt-on) laced with 14g spokes to an AtomLab Aircorps rim. Comes with 3 24” tires - 3.0”, 2.7”, and 2.5” (shown).

26” front wheel is a Quando hub (20mm thru-axle) laced with 14g spokes to Sun XL rim.

    Fork:
Manitou Sherman Flick, 130mm, w/ TPC damping and travel adjust. Stiff, strong fork, 20mm thru-axle locks it down to the ground.

    Brakes:
Hayes HFX-9 hydraulics, 8” rotor in front and 6” rotor in back.

    Bits & Pieces:
    Shimano XT drivetrain
    Truvativ Hussfelt cranks & BB
    RaceFace bar
    Sette stem
    ODI lock-on grips
    Kore Race post
    SDG seat

I’ve put over $2300 in this bike, but will sell for $1000.
Call Jeff at (720) 934-8130 to see it or email jeff @ paradigmbiogas.com, but if you buy it you gotta ride it. A lot.
