Warshington folks........longshot but figured I'd mention it.
This is a true story.......
Went on a ride with a friend of mine I haven't seen in a while last night and heard a sad, sad tale. He's a transient type who lives in his van parking wherever he feels like biking or skiing at the time. On his way back to Tahoe, he stopped to ride the West fork of the Snoqualmie trail....apparently just opened to bikes on alternate days.
From what he tells me there's a hot spring up there that he wanted to check out. Somehow he ended up in a situation that required him to cross the river over a log jam. I guess the river is pretty high right now and he stumbled enough to let his bike get caught by the water. Rather than being dragged in, he let go of the the thing. And yes.......it's gone now.
SO.....if any of you folks are in the area, camping, fishing, kayaking etc and see a black, cannondale jekyl 1000 probably large or extra large sometime in the future along the west fork of the snoqualmie trail or whatever it feeds into..........please let me know. He doesn't have a lot of money obviously and he's been riding loaners from friends and now the shop he works at.
thanks.STRAVA: Enabling dorks everywhere to get trails shut down........ all for the sake of a race on the internet.

The snoqualmie has a north, south and middle fork. The middle fork trail is open on odd numbered days.
