My '83 Gibson Sonex. It was one of the cheaper models but it has SG pickups.

In fact I often play Angel in a Centerfold air guitar at home in my pajamas and lip sync.

This is what's sitting next to me right now:

Godin A4 bass; Seagull S6+ acoustic; BC Rich Mockingbird; mystery Mandolin; Martin Backpacker w/ pickup; cheap fiddle; the foundation; djembe (behind drums).

Not pictured: 2 congas; Taylor 714, Seagull parlor; Baglama (Turkish stringed instrument) and a spike fiddle from Kenya.

    A 5-string 2000 Warwick Thumb Bolt-On is my mainstay:

(Above is not actually mine, but I have the same model, etc.)

My other bass is a 1968 Fender Blonde Precision with a 1970 Telecaster Bass neck (a frankenfurter bass, but plays beautifully, and looks beautiful, too.)

I also have a Martin DCX1E acoustic/electric, and the Martin Backpacker.

So with all these guitarists around, where are all the lead singers for you guys to get in arguements with. I just wanted this thread to be like most of the bands I've played in.

I don't actually play. I just buy the shit so I can tell the artsy chicks I'm a musician. It makes getting in their pants easier.

Isn't it easier just to go play in a bar, that way you don't have to talk.

ibanez acoustic/electric, samick (sub-brand of gibson) solid body electric. I don't remember what its edition name is. It's like a strat rip-off only by a gibson factory.

Wow, a Sonex! That was the second electric I ever had, waaaaay back when.

I'll spare you guys having to look at all my vintage keyboards. It's utterly retarded. It's like Rick Wakemen and Gary Numan had a lovechild who threw up in my studio.

You should still be able to get a deep soundout of an 18" kick. I think that the problem is that they have all that shit mounted to the drum, choking its ability to resonate. In the studio, I never use tom post mounts on a kick, and always mount the toms off stands (with Rims, preferably). I'd be interested to see if you hear a difference in that kick when you take all the hardware off.

Here's one of my kits. It's a Camco. That snare isn't mine though, but I have a bunch of cool snares. Unfortunately, because of this era of Camco / Tama hardware, I couldn't use Rims on this kit, but the toms are still killer. The 24" kick is a fucking cannon, too.
