Mike Patton's new project
Peeping Tom
Saw them on Conan last week in their live debut as a band. Checked out their album, and I dig it. Patton's always been great, as his stuff just keeps getting better. This one flows more like the Lovage project (and also features Dan the Automator). I'm a big fan as his stuff has grown a bit more controlled than the days of Mr. Bungle and Fantomas.
Worth checking out. Anyone else hear it yet?

Its more of a statement of contempt than an amorous suggestion.
And until I saw the Peeping Tom webpage, I thought ghettotech was a democratic national party initiative.

woot!
thanks for the heads up!
what day were they on conan?
we get the shows here about a week later than they are aired.
what kind of stuff is it? is more on the FNM style or tomahawk?
on a sideline, phantomas threw a gig here few months ago.
as rabid fan of pattons projects (phantomas the least) it was a must go.
and jeebus!
one of the best gigs ever.funny, intensive and so frigging well played.
mindblowing.
wife that is a fnm fan but never had heard phantomas, was equally stunned.
in a dazzled,but positive way..
The floggings will continue until morale improves.

i'm listening to it now. less like FNM, nothing like Mr Bungle/Fantomas, I guess more like Tomahawk, but more accessible. rolling pulsating grooves electonica with patton's trademark vocals.
PEEPING TOM = AWESOME. BUY THIS CD!!!Last edited by Ripzalot; 05-31-2006 at 02:56 AM.

Nice to know I share the same name with the guy, too bad I don't have any of his musical talent.

Just bought the record.
Good stuff, a "mix" between Mr.Bungle´s California album and Tomahawk with a touch of FNM in the beginning and the end.
Few almost exelent tracks, Mojo,_Don´t Even Trip and the ending song We´re not alone.
Pity that the middle part goes into a bit directionless coctail.
And it is a pity that Patton shys his singing so much nowadays, that he prefers to be a Vocal Auteur instead.
The man has The Voice anyway.
Dont know what kind of burnout he got after FNM.
But,a strong **** me.
The floggings will continue until morale improves.
