Skiercross time!
Next four Sundays in a row, at Mt. Slow. I should be in for the whole series--anyone else??
Elevens said he might get there for one, they're usually pretty fun and some pretty decent prizes (usually) for placing, plus sometimes a few good draw-prizes.
[//quote]

Is that the Palmer skierX? That's what we have at Attitrash. They don't let you use your poles in our series. I didn't think it would be a big deal until I'm getting airborn, then it feels all fucked up. It sucks. Good luck over there.

Yeah, but we use poles...WTF, how can they have a rule like that? I know guys who have raced at Attitash, and they didn't mention anything about that (it might've been before it was a 'Palmer' event, though). They did say it was a crazy course, though, but it was probably part of a different event.

Big motherfuckin' skis!!!!
Actually, my first few (four years ago?) I was on 205's, I've been on 196's for the past few years, and this year I'm dropping to a 186. All GS boards, race stock. For a very turny course it probably makes sense to use a 175 SL board or non-FIS legal GS ski, but mine have always been legit. GS skis.
Good wax/structure (tough sometimes) is key for the start.
[//quote]

I'm thinking of entering Dex and can pretty much say that the skis I bring will be turning heads. Big is an understatement.
elevenswhy make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!

While I'm not sure I like the way the beginning of your post sounds, I know you'll be bringing a pretty impressive set of sticks. With good wax I imagine you'll be good at the start.

And again...
Best part is they finally got their shit together and restored the competitor lift tix, so it's only $25 if you need a ticket. Good race last week, slightly dangerous course, hopefully they'll do a little better job this weekend.
[//quote]

Skiercoss is a blast. There's one this Sunday at Tyrol as well. I've won some pretty good shit with these in my career....
