I think it has something to do with TGR recently selling all of your information to the US Govt.

change your settings people and select "no email notification" kinda funny, thought it would be nice at first, but instead its very distracting, too many posts subscribed to

You have to change the setting for each thread you're subscribed to by going to user cp "show all subscribed threads" then check off each one and at the bottom pull "no email notification" from the drop down menu

Which is great because I'm subscribed to a lot of fucking thread... It must subscribe every one you post in. Oh well, I guess I'll just do the recent ones.

We just fixed a major bug in the forum mailing system- now it's actually working.
You should be able to turn off subscription emails on this page
(http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/p...do=editoptions)
If this doesn't work then we'z got some problems.

edgDo you realize that you've just posted an admission of ignorance so breathtaking that it disqualifies you from commenting on any political or economic threads from here on out?

Sorry for being a bother (which this clearly is), but did you just switch it to never or has it always been like that? Thanks for your help in hitting this.

It has always been like that, but when I logged in yesterday, it had been changed to "Instant email notification". I guesed that was the problem, changed it and thought no more.
What's even more confusing is that I have more threads in my subscribed-treads section than I have recieved emails for...

Yeah, not all the threads which are shown as posted in are emailed, is what I'm saying.

I just set all thread subscriptions to no email- thus the forum's now behaving as it has for years... All future threads that you choose email notification for will get sent out.
I believe the reason not all posts are coming through is because the massive amount of subscribe posts has clogged up the mail server. The queue should clear out soon. If next week the board continues to mail out random posts, I'll go ahead and misconfigure the mail server again. [joke].
As a side note I'm getting all the bounces so it's no fun for me either.
Play well- have a good weekend.

I'm still getting the emails. Originally I checked and my setting had been changed to 'receive notice'. I changed it to no notice. Then I got a bunch in one shot and when I checked it was set to 'weekly notice'. I changed it to no notice. I am still getting emails and went back and my settings still say no notice.
Anyone else still having this issue? It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

I've been getting them. I just went to my subscribed threads page and saw that some were set to "daily" notification, and some to "none." This is why I only got emails for some. So I think when you changed to "no email notifications," that only affected your subscription to new threads.

OK I found that now. I had looked earlier but thought it would be elsewhere. So how do I change this setting for individual threads? Some are weekly, some are daily and some none. All the ones from longer than a certain point are none and I never changed a thing.
