Review: 05-06 186 Atua
Me: 180 lbs, 6'2"
Location: Flail for the most part(back bowls and blue sky basin)
Condition: good ole crud and it was swamp ass nastly hot
First off, I usually dont post reviews but I could resist with this ski. It is amazingly underated, barely any chatter about this ski here, or anyplace for that matter. But this ski fuckin rips. Unfortunatley I couldnt ski powder, but it would go through crud like its nothing. Its not too bad in the bumps, not the best ski but it doest the job. Same with the trees. So playful and agile for a ski this size and in such bad conditions. I swear it was like skiing a park ski except that it would blast through anything. Defintley looking into buying this one and i cant wait to try next years

almost same size specs as you: 5'11 175
just got a pair and skied them this weekend @ mammoth and totally agree on yr review. great ski that ripped crud and mank like it was butter. on 2 inches of windblown it was like floating.like you said, a little loosey goosey in the bumps. was also surprised at the amount of the control in the trees at the speeds i was getting. a great ski i can look forward to pounding into oblivianLast edited by cdlv; 04-17-2006 at 12:19 PM.

If anyone is going to be in Tahoe the next few days, TJ Brk has some(along with a bunch of other Fischer freeride skis) 06-07's you guys can try out for free.

Next year's Atua is identical, just different (black topsheet) graphics. The only ski that is different is the Watea (101mm waist), which is slightly stiffer.

never tried atua, but tried extensively the kehua (BB says they're shorter but almost identical in construction). I second all the good things written here, just add that they work well in powder. And yes, they have been sold on german ebay for months at 160-220 euro
