    EC Tree Specific Skis

I am sick and tired of using the skinny and limp K2 public enemies in the trees and wanna get skis that will be dedicated to skiing east coast trees in soft(ish) conditions. Me: 6'2" 220lbs advanced sorta aggressive skier.

    Primary:
Quick turns in tight east coast glades in pow, cut up pow and harder bumps snaking through the trees. playing on terrain features for small airs.

    Secondary:
Bumps and east coast hard snow

I was looking for a ski that is wide under foot (95-105mm) to support my fat ass, is light and has a deep sidecut for quicker turns in tight spots, medium stiff for some decent hardpack grip but still soft enough for the bumps. I don't want the phantoms nor the 179 bros mainly cause of wait/cost.

    I was thinking:
    1) 186 Atua mounted +2cm - is this ski a bit longish for a tree ski?
    2) 179 Seth P or Seth V mounted on the line
    3) 178 Scratch BC - heard these are very quick and have pretty good hard snow grip
    4) 184 Goats - a bit big and burly for tight strees, not sure how well they will perform once the glades get bumped up.

At the EC mini there were lots of happy Bro owners. But the BC might be a good call also. Sorry I did not read the bro part or the sidecut part. Sidecut ptfff

You'll have no problems with any of those skis, other than imho, they may be too short. My 190 Gotamas ski tight, bumpy, cruddy trees with no problems. This year, I was normally skiing on a pair of 190 V-Pros or 188 G41s. Both skis were good. I'm your height and about 45 lbs lighter...

Spats would be good if you can find them, until you hit the hard snow. I'm secretly hoping K2 makes a 185ish, skinnier version of the Pontoons.

I use a 188 Atomic Stomp a bit soft but I can bend em around tress. Oh also not much of a sidecut.

Not sure about the first one but the rest I think would work well.

    Head Monster 88's

They're stiffer, but you can work 'em in the bumps (just don't drive the tips into icey bumps, they'll toss ya!)
