Big Love afterwards looks like a new addiction. Great cast, cool subject.

It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia.

That's the shocking hit in the first episode everyone's talking about? Jesus, don't kill off Pauly... get rid of Janice (oh yeah, she's a mother now).

Digital filmaking at it's best. Fucking Burrogh's poem to start.

I cooked our biennial Sopranos premiere night dish:

    http://origin.www.epicurious.com/rec...ws/views/13344

Tip: nuke the milk for a few minutes out of the fridge or the roux will take forever to thicken.

Uncle Joon faking it? I don't know ...

Are we going to have a season of Johnny running New York from jail and Tony running Jersey from a hospital bed?

Sure to be a season highlight: Vito at Meadow and Finn's wedding.

I might fire up the TiVo and watch it again tonight.

long day sunday and i knew i wouldn't make it through the episode, so watched family guy instead. the wifer then watched big love. she said it was ok.

watched sopranos last night on the rerun. the second it ended, she busts out with "big love sucked, THIS is what good shows look like".

great opener. i love that lou gherig joke.

Christopher always gets the best lines.

    "Chinks did this?"

    "Is that a catheter?"

And my all time favorite from a few seasons back ...

"If I were a carpenter, and you were a douchebag!"

Honestly, this is in my head at least every other day. I love the writing they do for that character.

I guess we are going to be seeing a lot of him, now that Tony has some medical problems. "aaayyyyyy.....wtf!"

How about " I'm never buyin' anything from this [pork] store anymore" as he worked a hacksaw.

The AJ stuff was great, but at this point in the series, did we really need another dream sequence show?

My take on the dream sequence is that it is Tony's vision of Hell.
Courage + believe = life. Life is not about how many breaths you take. It's what you do with those breaths

I think it is the last of Tonycentric world for awhile.
    great plot device IMHO.
Gandolfini tneds to overwhelm everyone on the screen, appropriate as Tony does the same.
gonna be fun watching the drama play out with the captains, etc. with noone to direct it.

Did anybody else think that the surrealism was still moving along when they were in the hospital room and showed the open wound for the first time? I though I was in a Cronenberg scene at that point, probably becuse I watched Videodrome the other night.
Is it healthy to have an open wound like that with so many people in the room?

loved it when Vito -- busted in the parking lot by meadow's boyfriend last season -- started in with the gay jokes.
