Mine kind of splinter on the topsheet at the edges. The splinters are very sharp, thin and fairly long. Of course, this can be because I suck, and don't ski them right.

Edit - Mine are with store at the moment I'm hoping replacements will be available soon.

I still love them and really just want to get back on them soon. Perhaps pull the freerides off and use my old explosivs until then.

Yep it was a tail delam about six inches of topsheet pulling away from bases.

Not happy - Expected Volkl skis to be better made than this. When Combined with the thin bases I'd have to say that I wish I'd bought other skis. Doesn't matter how well they ski if they fall apart

was it the same problem -> topsheets pulling away from the rest of the ski?

dude_le_skibum / flykdog....do either of you guys have pictures of it

i bought them last feb. i didn't ski them much last year. This year, i started my season january 9th and delam happened mid-feb.
i bought already a pair of next year's gotama.
i am a strong skier and i was skiing them with a freeride. so some touring, some resort, but less then 30 days on them...

edit: i love those skis, they were great, the flex on them was just perfect and that big spatula worked great over whatever. i came from longer and fater ski and i had a bit of the shorter ski remorse but these where just fun and easy everywhereééé

I'm getting the splintering on the edges of the topsheet on mine as was previously mentioned, but nothing that looks like that. I'll take some pics if anyone is interested.
I think that the human mind is unique among all other forms of life in that it can spontaneously create unique thoughts and provide unique behaviors. Instead of rewarding that uniqueness we, for some reason probably because of cultural and social necessity, we chastise unique behavior and reward conformity.
