Bend those puppies. I just did the brakes on some old 997s and it is a cake walk compared to bending Look/Rossi turntable brakes. Took all of about 20 minutes to do a whole set from start to finish.

I've got nothing here to do it. No vice or anything. I guess I could try and get creative with it.

Bending looks weren't too bad so I'll give it a shot.

The brakes on Salomons are soft enough that if you can mount the binding on a ski with the brakes flat on the top sheet you could bend them from there. I was shocked at how "soft" the brake arms were compared to Looks...

word to the homies at tramdock yo.

cept you fo' got my fat brakes bitch!

I wouldnt bend the brakes without taking them out of the housing, you could wind up bending the teeth that hook into the bottom of the heelpiece and then you have to bend those back in with vicegrips etc.

actually the older salomon brakes (painted black) are the easiest to bend.

    no heat needed.

is one of them a brand new 916s in black? Cause I've got one in red, and I think I'd rather have one in black. Black would match the color of my porsche.

Has anyone had problems with the black rubber retention peices near the toe breaking off? I've already had to send two 916s back for warranty because of this.
