sometimes almost as satisfying as hucking is encouraging the huck in others and witnessing their first fledgling jabs at superstardom... my buddy brad lighting it up in banff with about 20 minutes of on-ski experience.

A repeat, from the 'Bird a few seasons ago:





The landing was both much flatter and harder than expected, and I wound up screwing up my back pretty bad from the compression. I was dumb and didn't check the landing before takeoff.

Lesson learned: Whenever possible, make a lap near your LZ to make sure it's good to go before chucking. Probing the landing can make the difference between a safe, fun huck and getting injured by hitting a rock.

It's almost embarassingly lame, but it's all I've got
