You should have an export utility in the Mac's address book that will allow you to bring over outlook format info or at least CSV (comma separated value).

It is "donationware" and may be worth a look.

tried a few ways with csv and wab files.

the only way so far is if I save from outlook as a Vcard, but I can only save one vcard at time to disc.......

Try dragging each name from outlook to a folder on the desktop. Just a thought.

I've always moved contacts cross-platform via a Palm.

Step 0 (optional): Zap memory on Palm.
Step 1: Sync contacts from old computer to Palm.
Step 2: Sync contacts from Palm to new computer.

One nice thing about this method is that it lets you sync to both -- if you use two machines, you can sync both to the Palm and keep them up to date.
