Utah desert this weekend?
If I don't go on a long tour with no hope of decent turns this weekend, I've been tossing around the idea of some desert riding Sat/Sun. 12/17-18. Maybe Moab, maybe St. George area. Anybody interested? CS? bag? (not asking Frizzo cuz he's made it really clear he wants nothing to do with bikes for a while).

No can do. Relatives are in town. However, a Saturday tour is a good possibility.

Oh man, that's pretty tempting, but I think I'm out. Can't really afford the travel right now, and I'm in enough of a skiing mood right now that I'm willing to deal w/ the bumps and groomers at Alta.
I could be talked into a St George trip later in the season for sure though.Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I'd like to go down to St. George and skate their skatepark. But not this weekend.

Skiing today was actually pretty damn good.
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"

Yep I went on a freaking sweet tour off The Canyons. All day event, cruised around from 9990 below Desolation Lake, up the ridge, skied Little Water Peak into Mill Creek, hiked up and skied another shot, and finally got back into the Canyons. It was really cool to ski all the terrain around where we usually ride...Crest, Mill D, Little Water, etc. Great fun! I think a desert trip is only going to happen if a) I have another free weekend, b) it's actually warmer than a high of like 40 in the desert, and c) the snow here absolutely sucks.
