10-08-2005, 05:58 AM #26G4's aren't the best in small spaces, bumps are a lot of work and trees are ok as long as the snow's not grabby otherwise they hook up and become nearly impossible to slide in tight spots

Soft tail = no grip on the ice. That's the downfall of the PE's IMO.

Get the 185 Karma's. Soooooo much more ski than the PE. Super quick, bomber on hardpack, float on big days. The '85s were my only ski last year in CO, and they never let me down. I also repeatedly thought about how this would be a great east coast "fattie." I have skied the PE's and the B3's on the right coast and both chatter on hardpack. I just cannot see this being the case with the Karmas - they feel like a GS ski, but seem to morph into a freeride ski when you need them to. Heavy for a twin, though.
