PM box showing new message, but there is no new message
Any help on this? In my upper right corner, there is a note saying I have 1 unread message, but when I go into my PM box, I've already read all the messages. Help? Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure it has to do with if you click "confirm receipt" or not. If you bypass that, or click "no" and don't tell the sender you have read it, it keeps it as unread.
The problem of course is that it does not highlight the unmarked thread.
However, if you open them up one at a time, one of them should have a little box at the bottom stating something like "confirm message". CLick it and you will then have no unread posts.
That, or just delete em' all.

it should work the same to check in the check all box and then go to the bottom and use the "mark all read" function.... that's how I got rid of mine.

Are you hitting the back button after reading your pm? If so, your browser's history is playing tricks with you. That's happened to me before.

Thanks guys! I checked all messages, and there was no button saying I needed to confirm them or not. But, when I deleted the messages I've received in the last few days, it went away. Thanks!

I did the mark as read and my 1 unread annoying message disappeared too.
Move along nothing to see here.

Yeah, me too
I don't get all that many private messages, and it only seems to happen on my work computer, not my home one.
I'm using firefox in both locations. It's not a refresh issue (at least not one fixed by reloading the page)."if the city is visibly one of humankind's greatest achievements, its uncontrolled evolution also can lead to desecration of both nature and the human spirit."
